Harrison, William Henry
Name: William Henry Harrison
Reason: Harrison was not only the first President from Ohio, he was also Secretary of the Northwest Territory prior to Ohio's statehood and was the driving force behind the expulsion of the British from Ohio and the interior of the US during the War of 1812. Without Harrison's contribution, westward expansion and development of Ohio and other areas would have been stymied. He's an undersung national hero - one worthy of representing Ohio in Washington.
