Name: President William McKinley
Reason: William McKinley was the nation's 25th President. He represented Ohio in the House of Representatives and was twice elected Governor of Ohio. He was elected President in 1896 and 1900 making him the last president of the 19th century and the first of the 20th. Like James A. Garfield, he too was felled by an assassin's bullet. For his contributions as a patriot and as one of Ohio's most distinguished sons. I nominated President William McKinley for Statuary Hall. Thank you.
