Civil Rights: The struggle for civil rights predates Ohio and continues today. Whether fighting for racial equality, gender fairness, voting rights, schooling or other basic human rights, Ohioans have figured prominently. These are some of the Ohioans who fought for the civil rights of others: John Parker, Lucy Webb, Elizabeth Bisbee, John Rankin and William Walker. Who else can you think of?
