Native Peoples: Ohio’s ancient and modern history spans more than 12,000 years, the first 11,800 of which is felt through the oral traditions of American native peoples and is known primarily through archaeological investigations. We may know less about them, but these native people contributed an extraordinary amount to Ohio and how we live today. Here are a few of Ohio’s notable natives: Chief Logan, Little Turtle, Tecumseh and Blue Jacket. Who else can you think of?
